ROMNEY WAS RIGHT – 47% TOO

HARD TO OVERCOME

Romney was right – the 47% intransigents he spoke of were not going to be moved to vote beyond the Democrartic party, especially after the perks – more food stamps, free ‘Obama phones’ , ‘Obama bucks’ etc. – promised in exchange for votes during Obama’s campaign.

So, Romney – or any other Republican who would have run – had only 3% to work with, making winning a very difficult task. And, with Obama’s ‘ground game’ that somehow got as many as 99% of Democrats voting in inner cities like Philadelphia, Romney hardly had a chance, storm Sandy or otherwise.

One thing the mostly young and / or minority voters who elected Obama will now have to content with making $45,000 or so incomes plus benefits with Obama’s new system. It’s not a whole lot more than the n $20,000 minimum guaranteed income for anyone using all their new benefits including increased food stamps, welfare, disabiliy, etc. The days of free enterprise where incentive and hard work paid dividends and made millionaires are all but over n ow as the United States if following the trends of Greece and France where, as the economy tanks so do the masses’ incomes; only a small elite is making any real income.

Obama was more about METHOD OVER MATERIAL. Obama’s forces rounded up almost any inner city folk who were breathing and got them to the polls, one way or another,and not always legal (according to many illegals, themselves). Beyond the perks, there was the 3 million probable votes Obama picked up via his ‘Dream Act,’ just another method over material to got him votes.
The Obama victory reminds me of the recent San Francisco Giants’ World Series Victories two out of last three years where they somehow made it, arguably, without a top caliber team. Ownership did whatever it could to skirt issues of talent for other means of ‘winning’ –
like rounding up its largely young, liberal fan base with half price tickets and other enticements, turning up the PA system and other psychologoical advantages along with the new prerequisite social marketing, and, finally, bringing in questionable journeymen players other teams don’t want, who suddenly become ‘instant stars’ such as the four Venezulelan
players named Melky, Scutaro, Sandoval and Blanco, who suddenly all hit far above their lifetime averages or homerun productions, especially late season and in the World Series – much like the 2010 team with sudden wonders like Ross and Torres – more than enough
to allow the Giants to miraculously make mincemeat out of one top team after another (Cincinatti, St Louis and Detroit and in 2010 Philadephia, Atlanta and Texas). If it weren’t for a couple big late season injuries to star players the Giants would have probably won it all in 2011,too.

It’s called ‘Win at Any Cost.’ Lilke the giants team, which was one of the weakest hitting teams to start the season,, Obama brought one of the weakest records ever to re-election l. Both played on young, impressionable markets, with both being ‘bought’ in by perks , whether discount tickets and ‘promises’ of a world series’ or free cell phones
or more food stamps, etc.) Both used social marketing almost to the border of unfairness with the Giants getting Sandoval on the AllStar team , and others, without big numbers. Obama got more voters with questionable tactics, eg an unheard of 99% turnout in Philadelphia’s
inner city precincts. And, the ‘giveaway’ mentality spreads like wildfire as the momentum builds.

So, it’s a different world today. Perhaps old values don’t matter as much any more. A person on American Idol may win more for his or her look than the music. Negative political advertising can win out over honest, positive messages. And baseball players convicted or suspected of using illegal drugs are not necessarily looked down upon anymore,
eg Barry Bonds and Melky Cabrera, who will likely join the Giants again next year after being one of two giants players suspended this season.

Looks like Kruschev may be right , too, when he said back in 1956 that not only will Russia ‘ bury you’ (the U.S.) but that the US would become communist through it’s own leaders! If not communist yet , certainly socialism is already upon us.

California is looking more and more like a Socialist state as is much

coming what with Obama’s increasing benefits to lower income
(food stamps increased by $17 million,welfare up, free phones, etc) while middle class income went down $4,000 per family.
According to Associate Press article, noted on John and Ken show (KFI late October), Prop 30 is deceptive,where most funds would NOT go to education but to infrastructure programs (like high speed rail – tens of billions of dollars, moving water from north to south, etc) and the teachers pension funds (Prop 38 was the one to truly help education. ) Brown has held education and schools hostage. Prop 30 was just a guise to help Brown move money around as he chooses. Another expected result will be more job losses.The pro-Prop 30 budget was ten times greater than the anti-30.

California is now a third world state and we will see more middle
class people leaving the state in droves. Meanwhile, this new
majority will have control and make things even worse for the
middle class, the result much like we see in the many third world dictatorships around the world.

Whenever the San Franciso Giants get in trouble they go to their bag of tricks, or shall we say, favorite players nobody would expect or SUSPECT. Arias? Scutaro? Blanco? How do such no-name or over-the-hill players suddenly become GIANTS, if you will, in September and October, year after year? They just beat a better team, the Cincinatti Reds and they’ll do it to you, too, St. Louis – and there may not be anything you can do about it until MLB and/or your team management, MLP and / or fans wake up and see what’s going on. The Giants did it in 2010 and nearly got away with it in 2002 – under dusty baker, no less – barely losing to the Angels in the World Series. in 2010 it was sudden heroics by unlikely figures like Renteria, Uribe, Ross, Mota ,m Wilson(?) and Guillen (before he was kicked off the team by MLB) but by then the damage was done. Guillen had ‘infected’ so many players, even though his own three late season game-winning hits were enough to propel the giants past San diego to the Western Division title. There were probably others, too, though only Guillen and Mota had been caught by MLB – and as Victor Conte says (and you can’t go against him on this): you have to be dumb or dumber to get caught now with the new designer PED of choice, testosterone) last year, Beltran’s secret sauce didn’t quite develop and other last minute injuries and problems kept the Giants out of it , but this year Sabean and Co. were right back at it, acquiring late season ‘Latin Connection’ Scutaro who went crazy on the juice, hitting .350 for the Giants in his two months with the team at age 37, after never hitting over .299 in a long career in easier ballparks to hit. Then this year, there were the aforementioned ‘Latin connection’ of Arias and blanco, who also had their best seasons with career best homer outputs, along with Pagan. Of course the Melkman, Melky Cabrera, dumb or dumber, as he might have been to get caught, got it all going with a league-leading average while injecting new life, as it were, into the new crop of players, turning them from no names to sudden stars. Hard to find a player in the starting lineup hitting under .270, except Hunter Pence, who just got here. Give him time to pick up on the secret sauce. Of course, the local fans love it. could care less how the sudden stars happened in the country’s most liberal city where ‘anything goes.’ Same for mangement, Sabean, Baer and Bochy, who are most responsible for their decade-long ‘look the other way’ approach – and of source Selig, the commish, for adding to the mockery. And here’s the science behind it all: PED PLAYERS FUEL GIANTS’ STRONG COMEBACK IN PLAYOFFS ONCE AGAIN Ever notice that two-thirds of the San Franciso Giants’ starting lineup is comprised of Latin players: Scutaro, Pagan, Sandoval, Blanco,Arias (when he plays) and Sanchez (when Posey plays first base) and Cabrera (before hewas banned for using an illegal substance) . As for pitching, there’s Mijares, Casilla, Mota and Romo. These players have mostly shown a surprising increase in production and numbers after joining the Giants as compared to their previous team(s). In Saturday’s playoff game against Cincinatti, the only non-Latin player to get a hit was Pence in the 8-3 drubbing of Cincinatti by the Giants. Playoff tickets, New York Yankess playoff tickets, San Francisco Giants Playoff Tickets We only bring this up because the same thing happened in the World Series year of 2010with names like Torres, Uribe, Renteria, Guillen, Ramirez, Romo and Mota, again. We find it more than coincidental that these players would suddenly sport significantly improved numbers once joining the Giants. Perhaps not so surprising when you note what we call the ‘cockroach infestation’ theory, where PED (performance enhancing drugs) players, already on the team, are attractve to these new, fellow Latin players – willing and wanting to boost their own performances like the players to which they look up. The stats for the new Giants speak for themselves, comparing previous years to the current season:

1) MARCO SCUTARO – Most surprising increased numbers, this for a 37 year old player playing in the difficult San Francisco hitter’s park

2) JUAQUIN ARIAS hit 5 homers for Giants this year after never hitting one before.

3) ANGEL PAGAN power numbers up since coming to SF with Melky Cabrera

4) GREGOR BLANCO who was red hot, ala Torres in 2012 for first half of season, hit more homers this year than in all previous seasons combined

5) SANTIAGO CASILLA suddenly halved his ERA after coming to Giants in ‘magic’ year, 2010.

6) JOSE MIMARES , teammate with Cabrera in 2011 in Kansas City and this year , saw instant success like he had at Kansas City . Funny that the Giants would go after another Latin player off Cabrera’s KC team? …and there are other possibles… Add to this that GM Brian Sabean- never real great at making good trades for ‘normal’ players – found a new ‘secret’ source for trades. Ever since the Bonds era Sabean has been able to ‘get away’ with bringing in known tainted players like Cabreara and Mota. Even if such players ARE caught, Sabean and the Giants still get the benefit of a partial season of success, probably 5-10 game winning hits in the case of Cabrera. Guillen’s short stay with the Giants in 2010 when he had three game winning hits was more than enough to push the Giants past the Padres by one game to win the Western Division. As for risk, there is none (yet) to Sabean and the Giants and, as PED guru, Victor Conte says, one has to be ‘dumb or dumber’ to get caught, what with all the new anti-detection techniques, most notably with testosterone, the current PED of choice among players. That Conte has come out recently stating that ‘up to 50% ‘ of baseball players are using PEDs, according to many baseball players he would not name could be pretty damning. That Conte is San Franciso local one could speculate that at least some of his sources came from the local ball team, none other than the San Francisco Giants. Enough evidence yet?

Perhaps baseball really doesn’t care nor do other teams (other than Kirk Gibson and

his Arizona Diamondbacks, who have questioned the Giants’ seemingly unfair advantage.

Sure, other teams could probably get away with it – and some probably do – but not to the

extent of the Giants, Kings of the PEDs for over a decade now. But most other teams

probably rather not deal with the fallout and possible reaction that the Giants have

received to some extent, thought not what it should be. How can one watch and appreicate

a team like the Giants when knowing peformance -enhanced players have affected outcomes

of a number of games in the Giants favor. Perhaps in liberal San Francisco the Fans

Don’t care. Even manager Bochy stated that a player like Mota deserves a ‘second chance.’

How’s about a third? ( He has been convicted twice of PEDs yet the Giants took him back

again. (The ironic thing is that a player like that would probalby need to continue on the PED

of choice to maintain his performance. Perhaps Mota, afraid of ‘strike three’ has gone off

the drugs since his performance since rejoining the team has been far from spectacular.

Winning Baseball

Not only did Performance Enhancing Drugs get the San Francisco Giants to the World Series put probably won it for them.

Just like today, the Giants were the Major League Leaders in steroids and

other PEDs. Just like the city of San Francisco itself, the Giants have taken a liberal attitude to players and drugs.. While the fans smoke marijuana in the stands some players use their drug of choice, from steroids or testosterone.

For more than a decade the San Francisco Giants have been winning games they probably wouldn’t have won with players on PEDs. And yet, neither Major League Baseball has done anything about it, nor have other teams complained, with the exception of the Arizona Diamondbacks and manager Kirk Gibson.

Barry Bonds nearly got away with more than a decade on steroids, until a couple local reporters finally broke the story. A career .290 hitter in Pittsburg who only once hit more than 40 homers in a season, suddenly was hitting over .300 with over 50 homers year after year – and doing it late in his career in a tough hitters ballpark. He single handedly propelled the Giants to the 2002 World Series before barely losing. Yet, Bonds remains a hero in San Francisco and continued to play baseball to age 42. The Giants even have considered bringing him back in some capacity.

Then Bonds had his PED followers, after promising to ‘share his hitting

secrets with fellow players,’ a statement that was overlooked my most everyone back in the early 2000s when PEDs were not talked about but when it was obvious just by looking at him that Bonds’ entire physique had changed between the 1999 and 2000 seasons.

Then there were Bernard and Santiago actually charged with using steroids by the Mitchell Report. There were certainly others , too, who never got caught.

Through the decade, while and after Bonds played, there were undoubtedly many others on the juice, culminating in the 2010 World Series – and this time the Giants won it all,and without Bonds or a real superstar hitter, unless you want to give that credit to steroids.

The acquisiton of Jose Guillen in August was enough, by itself, to give the Giants the one game margin over the Padres to win the West. You see, Guillen, later convicted and banished from the team for the playoffs – not by the Giants but by major league baseball –

had three game winning hits during his short spell with the team.

But, more than that, there were others like Guillermo Moto – still with the team today-convicted of steroid use prior to coming to the Giants and other players, whose careersall seemingly took off in 2010, and especially in August and September after Guillenjoined the team. Put the dots together.

Newly acquired Cody Ross, not known as a big homerun hitter, hit 14 of them during the month including five in the playoffs and world series. (CODY ROSS stats below) Like Huff, Ross dramatically dropped off after the World Series year and it probably wasn’t from being out of shape, of which Huff has often been accused. At later stages in careers it probably comes down to drugs or no drugs… There was the Dominican Connection of, in addition to Guillen, Jose Uribe, Edgar Renteria, several pitchers including Mota. One has to also look at people like Huff and Burl. Huff added nearly 50 points to his average in 2010 with comparable homers playing in a much tougherballpark in San Frnacisco. People have questioned why his career suddenly dropped offso dramatically in 2011 and 2012. How’s about the new , more stringent drug testing,

or maybe Huff finally woke up and decided he didn’t want to do that to his body.

I’ve often wondered why the Giants would wnat to bring players back – like Bonds,Mota and possibly Cabrera – because they’re not going to be the same players if they’renot taking the drugs. And , if they do continue to play over their heads one must assumeit will be because of PEDs. It’s as if the Giants could care less, which they obviously do…

Let the League pplice the players, figures GM Brian Sabean. The Giants will get the lowerprice guys other teams don’t want for obvious reasoms, figuring even if they get caughtthe Giants will come out ahead, getting several months of value out of a player like

Cabrera for nominal cost.

And so it goes… Whether you believe someone like Victor Conte, that 50% of playersare still using PEDs, there are no doubt a number whot are are able to stay aheadof the drug tests, using testosterone and newer ‘designer’ drugs. Meanwhile, insteadof cooperating with the league, The SF Giants continue to take advantage of the

situation more than a decade later….

In light of the SF Giants reactivating Guillermo ‘I did not read the label on the cough medicine’ Mota following his second drug violation and 100 game suspension, baseball purists must question how the Giants can get away or have the balls to keep taking on known drug users or reputed ones. And they’re winning, why of course, with players other teams respectfully turned away. Meanwhile the Giants continue to win and affect other teams’ chances, eg Arizona Dbacks, with tainted players while baseball turns it’s head (with rare exception, ieKirk Gibson).

It’s true that the average modern baseball fan is not as concerned with such infractions if a player is entertaining him . Witness Barry Bonds’ 10 year steoriod career when the Giants and fans totally supported their meal ticket while getting rid of players and management that didnb’t subscribe to the idea, eg best natural team player Jeff Kent and team head Bill Neucomb.

Giants management claims ignorance when acquiring these tainted players, believing that MLB should do the screening. If other teams let such players as Cabrera get away for a player like Jonahtan Sanchez one has to know something is going on; then, looking at the numbers and finding Cabrera’s sudden resurgence really says something. So much for due dilligence on the part of GM Sabean. Meanwhile the Jints are winning with these players other teams had the respect to turn away. Is it fair to other teams? No. Does it make the Giants and baseball a laughing stock to old school baseball players and fans? Yes.

From 2000 the team has been rampant with convicted and suspected steroid users (in a time before advanced testing was adopted), eg Santiago, Benitas, Bernard in addidtion to Bonds. One must wonder how many others had gone undetected.

The Giants rode their major League leading Drug reputation into the world series in 2002 after acquiring another convicted drug offender, Jose Guillen. After he came to the team, we saw a sudden spike of homeruns and hitting by the giants, with newly acquired Cody Ross hitting 8 homers in a short span and several in the playoffs.

Then there were others with equally surprising numbers, like Jose uribe , Renteria and the aforementioned convicted Mota. Note the Latin connection, and most of the success happening after fellow Dominican Guillen joined the team in August.

Guillen alone had several game winning hits, enough by himself to make up the one game margin the Giants needed to beat out San Diego IN the playoffs in 2010.

This year the trend contines with Mota and another Dominican, Joaquin Arias outhitting the league since the Allstar break. Arias, who had never hit a homerun in his prevous 2,000 at bats over five seasons has already hit three in the homer unfriendly San Francisco At&t Park. His 12 doubles are double the most he ever hit in a single season prior.

At an age when most players start slowing down, Angel Pagan is having a career power year with 8 homers and 29 doubles thru 8/31, again, in theSan Franciso ballpark unfriendly to hitters. Pagan only once hit more homes in a year, in the smaller New York Met’s ball park.

Yet a third player, Gregor Blanco, has hit 5 homers this year in 111 games for the giants which is more than the three he hit his previous three years and 250 at bats in the big leaques, combined, again, playing in the large ballpark, unfriendly for hitting homers.

It’s all very reminiscent of the 2010 team that featured the aforementioned number of Latin players who mysteriously became power hitters with the giants in the large ballpark.’

The Giants are basically thumbing their nose at major league baseball with their ‘win-at-any-cost’ attitude; they already have two of the five convicted drug users in 2012 in Moto and Melky Cabrera and may well have more who have gone undetected. And, so what if they lose a player like Cabrera.. They got a lot of victories out of his tainted player – at a reducedcost- that could well propel them into the playoffs again.

Sabean as long overlooked the team’s drug use, but now even usually cerebral manager Bruce Bochy dismissed any problem with bringing back Mota, saying that the Giants, unlike other teams, are more concerned with a player’s well-being and that they should be given another chance, in this case a third.

GM Brian Sabean is even more obvious, saying that it’s up to major league baseball ot police the players.

Now, if Mota performs well one can assume he’s still on ‘cough medicine.’ If he is off the performance enhancing drugs now, what’s the point of having him around. No doubt the Giants hope he’s still using PEDs — at keast long enough to help get them in the playoffs. Let him get ‘ detected later.

And another recent acquisition, Hunter Pence , has been rumoured to be on and perhaps now off PEDs, based on his recent decline. The Giants may lose on this one unless Pence decides to risk going back on the drug. In any case it’s a win-win propositon for the giants. They can’t lose. Get a guy cheap and hope he gets away with it long enough to help propel the team…

So there you you go… The San Franicso Giant’s Win-At-Any-Cost attitude.
